Hi, I'm Alexis and am currently finding writing this description to be a challenging concept! This little box alone is not enough space to describe my genuine passion in interacting, educating and playing with children. I am currently studying to pursue a personal care role in the Disability Education Industry and immerse myself in every new opportunity. I am learning to value the importance of inclusive, fair practices and further develop my ability to create and sustain positive relationships. I firmly believe that these qualities are fundamental when engaging with children. Caring for a child entails the responsibility of providing a supportive, nurturing and safe environment where they can enjoy themselves and maximize their outcomes. Carers are to show commitment, open communication and ensure that all children are given a fair, equal opportunity. These characteristics, which I firmly believe I portray, are demonstrated in my roles as an Integration Aide and Out Of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator. Under professional guidance, I have learnt how to provide specialised education on both a 1:1 basis and within a group setting. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with children, whether it is craft, physical activity, reading, etc. I believe that I am suitable for this role and that I have the experience to draw upon.
